I arrived in Bali in the early hours of the morning to begin my honeymoon. Exhausted from a sixteen hour journey. The first thing I remember was this dense, moist air hitting my skin as soon as I stepped off the plane. And the smell... the smell was brand new to me; a soft, sweet and almost savoury coconut scent.
After being driven to our walled villa hidden deep in the pandan fields of Canguu, under a black sky pinned up by a million stars with a soundtrack of exotic bugs singing their nighttime tunes, a distressed 'secret garden-esque' gate opened onto our open-air villa split into two divided by a pool surrounded by tropical plants, trees and flowers.
The first thing I did was strip and take a dip in the pool lit by the biggest moon I'd ever seen.
This delicious memory inspired this exotic blend of creamy coconut, citrus fruits with blonde woods and vanilla.
